The solution has improved the organization primarily due to the transparency between each individual team. There is a productivity benefit. I've likely seen a 20% to 28% increase in productivity benefit over a year's time. From a cost perspective, I'm less sure of how to comment. That said, productivity and transparency are definitely the two benefits I've witnessed so far.

We uploaded the repository of .dot files to Project. We are staying positive about project plans to help with risk identification.
Integrating Microsoft Teams and utilizing collaboration via SharePoint in the system allows us to work on documents together. We can foster discussion and gather feedback from this side to reach conclusions. We can have an accurate repository of information for whichever tasks are being done or the Project at the end of the first.

Our experience with Microsoft Project Server wasn't very positive, and due to high demand, over 70% of employees requested to stop using it. They encountered technical difficulties and faced challenges with the customer helpdesk. Getting in touch with a representative for assistance was a prolonged and frustrating process.

I'm able to curate the SPI (Schedule Performance Index) and the CPI (Cost Performance Index) that helps us measure the performance in regards to costs and even taxes that projects have.
I can create metrics about costs either project by project or phase by phase.

We are able to know what we are doing, how much we have spent, how much time we've taken, and it tells us how much money is left for the project. It also tells us whether we are below or above our expenditures, whether we are below or above our budget.

A single place for all our organisation's project records.
View full review »After implementing this product, the biggest improvement was with timesheet compliance with company rules, because resources had to write their allocation and time spent on each project, along with tasks across many projects. In addition, resources also had to fill in their non-project time such as administration and vacation. When they submitted their final timesheet, project managers of separate projects had to approve the specific time spent on their project and team leads approved the non-project time. After implementing this product, all project schedules were automatically actualized. This kind of automation was really helpful.
Another improvement was related to project portfolios and the initial decision regarding which new project to start at the moment and which projects should be postponed or canceled for strategic reasons.

View full review »Traditionally, Microsoft Project has only been stand-alone, and we've never used it on a Web basis. Now we use it on a Web basis. It's been absolutely great in that sense, of being collaborative and also for resource-leveling, so that people can see at an instant just where everything is.

- Microsoft Project Server gave us an easy way to list and classify our projects, creating great views for a high quantity of information with the Project Web Application.
- We can now define our own project indicators and performance KPI’s, according to our project process. During the last 4 years we have used Project Server to save more than 400 baselines.
