Planning and establishing controls to ensure proper data security in Microsoft Teams is important. I advise others to understand the necessary measures to protect their data. Also, starting gradually and only enabling some features would be better. They should focus on particular use cases, such as communication via channels, audio/video conferencing, etc.

The solution is a centerpiece of Microsoft 365. I rate it a ten out of ten based on its capabilities.

There are multiple places to do the same thing within the Microsoft realm. People working with teams must stick with it. It gets easier, and the features start getting better. It also has third-party plugins, workflows, and notes. There are a lot of interesting things in the product. When I was working for a hedge fund, we used to have a little application on which the traders would chat with each other. Microsoft does everything to about 70%. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

The file-sharing and collaboration tool in Microsoft Teams is pretty excellent, and we use it daily. We face challenges when certain users report their headsets not working on Microsoft Teams meetings. To overcome that, we request the user to either quit Teams completely or sign out and sign back in so that it recognizes the headset.

I would recommend Microsoft Teams over Zoom or other products. Microsoft Teams is one of the best virtual meeting collaboration tools out there. It's a stable product offered by Microsoft that provides good support.

Microsoft Teams is deployed on-cloud in our organization.

Microsoft Teams is definitely better than Google Meet because Google Meet doesn't retain chat history after the sessions, which is not very good. Zoom is frustrating because the account management is all hosted by a third party. Zoom works, but you're constrained. Microsoft Teams is a little bit more flexible.

The advice I would give to people looking into using Microsoft Teams is that it is not linked directly to Active Directory. Even though it's called Microsoft, it's still a third-party plug-in. You have to be aware that Outlook Web Access needs to be enabled in order to use calendars and scheduling with people who aren't in your organization.

Overall, I rate Microsoft Teams a nine out of ten.

I would rate the product a nine-point five out of ten because of the ease of use. The solution is integrated with Office 365's Calendar. You can open Outlook and access it from there which makes it very seamless. The solution is a great software and I recommend it highly. The main reason that Teams have an edge is that, in most offices, there is limited accessibility to Gmail and hence problems with Google Meet.

The "Together Mode" feature in Microsoft Teams has been particularly valuable for our team's productivity and overall collaboration. This feature is especially beneficial during group video calls, as it creates a virtual environment where team members appear together in a shared space. This has proven useful for capturing group photos and fostering a sense of connection, especially in a remote work environment. Additionally, during virtual celebrations and events, the ability to click pictures seamlessly in Teams adds a fun and engaging element, enhancing the overall team experience. The feature for video conferencing capability works efficiently for remote meetings.

I recommend it to others and rate it an eight out of ten.

It's a good product. I think that with the package of Microsoft Outlook itself, most organizations are going forward with Microsoft Teams. I am not aware if there is anything else that they would be looking forward to, but I can say that the tool has a scope for improvement. As a user of the tool, I can say that Microsoft Teams is not a 100 percent reliable solution.

Trust is the main factor. I see that users do not trust the tool, and they still prefer to send emails because they feel that whatever information they are sending using the tool may get lost. Hence, that makes it a big concern.

I rate the overall solution a six out of ten.

Microsoft Teams is definitely worth adopting. It's a great way to start digitalizing your company and enabling remote work. Without this tool, it's challenging to operate efficiently. There are alternative solutions like Slack, but they are not as compatible with the broader Microsoft ecosystem. With Microsoft Teams, everything integrates seamlessly. You can access files and collaborate through both desktop and mobile applications.

Overall, I'd rate it an eight out of ten because a few points need improvement. Firstly, the CPU utilization can be quite high during calls, which drains the laptop battery quickly. Secondly, there is some sluggishness and delays that can be frustrating. Lastly, working with multiple tenants can be tedious and should be resolved.

Microsoft Teams is a nice product, and we have been using it for some time. It's integrated with SharePoint for content management. You can have multiple repositories simultaneously and use the versioning from Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is making our life much easier as compared to sharing and uploading into a SharePoint folder. If you want to edit documents, you can open them in Microsoft Teams apps instead of a browser.

Zoom is just a portal to connect, chat, and conduct meetings. However, Microsoft Teams provides much more flexibility with additional functionalities for your files, product tracking, and issue tracking. Zoom doesn't have all these additional features. Microsoft Teams also gives me easy access to my calendar in case I integrate it with my Outlook, and I can see everything in the solution.

Overall, I rate Microsoft Teams a seven out of ten.

We're using the latest version of the solution. We just get the solution from the cloud, so it's always the most up-to-date option.

I've noticed, since the pandemic, that, as of maybe three or four months ago, Teams was much more widely accepted in Europe than in North America. I believe this is starting to change.  Recently though (late 2020) this has changed and especially since the roll-out over the summer and fall of improvements in collaborative document, planning and tracking capabilities.

I would recommend marketing the tool to people by showing demos of the capabilities for people and actual use cases. If I were trying to bring this into a new company I would ask people what they were doing for communicating with teams, or how they were using text messages, collaboration tools, video conferencing currently, etc., so that I could actually demonstrate how to do that same thing.

There's literally hundreds of text tools, collaboration apps and video conferencing options on the market. The key to a business' success at communication is to ensure the various teams are all on the same platform or using the same tool.

That doesn't mean everyone in the company needs to use it the same way. If they're using the same tools, then at least, the base platform is the same and your company can build on that. Rather than Google docs for one thing and Microsoft Teams and, OneDrive, SharePoint, and all of these different tools, you've got to kind of pick a lane.

I would rate the solution overall at about an eight out of ten. That's due to the simplicity and ease of use. There are great features available. However, it loses a few points because the setup and the admin capabilities are different across platforms.

Microsoft Teams is deployed on-cloud in our organization. Microsoft Teams is an expensive product. Since we are a micro and small mid sized company, we have to pay more cost. Big banks and big enterprise customers pay half the price of what we pay because their number of users is more. If the company is very big, the solution's cost reduces substantially.

My advice to people who are considering this solution is that you have to be patient at the beginning. People might think it is too complicated or that it looks too complicated at the beginning. As a first time user, I remember feeling like I didn't understand anything. You have to be patient and play around with it until you become familiar with the different features. For example, there are channels within a group. If you are added to several groups and you start getting alerts, you may not know which channel it is or which group. It is a lot for a first time user to digest. It is not as straightforward as WhatsApp when it comes to groups.

What we have seen is that when we communicate our requests to Microsoft, we are getting back responses with the features we have asked for. There are many features that we request and we discover they are available in just a few days. Either many companies are making the same requests or Microsoft is answering our request, but the product is evolving quickly.

On a scale from one to ten, when one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate Microsoft Teams as an eight. While I like the product a lot and I use it all the time, there is room for improvement.

Organizations should consider what features they want to utilize. If they want all features to be available, they need to have an enterprise category system. Logging in from a home segment device will not have all features available.

I would rate the solution an 8 out of 10.

Network performance does impact teams, but Microsoft does give recommendations as to how the internet and network should be set up. If you follow these instructions then there will be fewer problems to fix. Essentially, if you are implementing this product then you need to very clearly understand the network requirements. Tweaking things on the network side is very important.

Overall, this is a very good collaboration product and the only thing stopping me from giving it a perfect grade is the heavy bandwidth usage.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

Currently, we're just a customer of Microsoft. We aren't consultants or resellers.

To be honest, everyone is using Zoom these days. The familiarity with that system is higher, and the recommendation for that system is higher.

When I set up Microsoft Teams, people were not very accustomed to how to use it. However, users have found that using it on the laptop is pretty good. Overall the system looks good. That said, when you try to use it on mobile, we've found the bandwidth is higher.

Currently, as a new user, I would rate the solution seven out of ten. If the interface was just a bit better, and it was easier to organize a meeting, I would rate it higher. Generally, it just needs to be tweaked to make it more user friendly.

Although we're not fully subscribed to the solution, I would recommend it to others.

In terms of advice, I'd recommend others carefully plan the project before implementing the solution. Figure out how you can test it and make other people comfortable with using the product before they receive it. Microsoft actually provides very good guides that can help.

I would rate the solution eight out of ten. If the UI was better, where the system wouldn't take over the whole screen. I'd rate it higher. I'd also rate it higher if there was the capability not to just share screens, but to take over the screens of other people in a meeting, so discussions and changes could happen in real-time.

I'd definitely recommend Teams over both Skype and Zoom. In my opinion, it's far superior.

Potential users of the solution should be aware that it's very good at what it does as long as you don't try to stretch the usage to something that it isn't meant to do. It's mainly for internal communication and internal projects. It's not Slack and it's not Microsoft Yammer which is for larger organizations. This is really for small teams of up to 30 people. After that, it becomes clumsy and a bit rigid.

I would rate this solution a seven out of 10.

Strategic Program Management at a tech vendor with 11-50 employees

My advice to others would be that, if they're working with a similar product, they should have a change management program in place. They should also give themselves a few days at least to deliver some training for the users. I think the training is really important to enhance the user adoption experience. It doesn't have to be a lot, but at least give them an introduction and a guided tour through the program's features.

The biggest lesson I've learned is actually using a single application that can deliver all of the services that are required. Since I've only been using the solution for six months, I haven't even used all the features yet. I think that Microsoft Teams may replace Microsoft Outlook in the future.

On a scale from one to 10, I will rate this solution a seven. I think there's always room for improvement, even if it's not obvious what those improvements can be. I guess I could be tempted to say eight but not higher than that. I am very satisfied with Microsoft Teams.

My recommendation is that if you look into the majority of the end users who are using laptops or desktop computers, we're predominantly using the Microsoft operating system and the Microsoft Office network. I think it's better to have one common system which is an integrated solution. It makes it much easier for anyone to get the benefit of this solution.

I would like to see some improvements in this solution but I would still rate it a nine out of 10.

It's a good mix of WhatsApp, Viber, and Skype.

The only area that we had concerns with was with messages and not knowing if the messages had been received or read. Now, they have added this feature and we know that it has been received and read.

This tool is very interesting if you have a team of more than 15 people. When you are a small team then you won't use all of its compacity.

The biggest lesson that I have learned from using Teams has to do with time management. It has really highlighted how much time I spend in meetings. The tool gives you an analytical aspect, where it helps you to manage and balance your time.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
