SOTI MobiControl Other Solutions Considered
We tried Scalefusion.
View full review »I used to see the demonstration from another vendor, and I can say that it was quite similar to SOTI MobiControl. So each product has its own pros and cons. So, I don't want to give any opinion on that.
View full review »I would like to compare it with Intune because Intune is a free tool, but I want to understand this software better.

Account Manager at a computer software company with 51-200 employees
Out of all the alternatives, SOTI is definitely the mobile device management software that we recommend. There is a handful of them out there — Mobile Iron, Avanti, and AirWatch— and it seems like the majority of people are using SOTI over the other ones. A lot of people use the other ones as well, but it does seem like SOTI is the leader in that field.
The owners of this company are seasoned wireless guys that have been doing this for 20 years and SOTI is all we sell. When we come up against a customer that has AirWatch, we've sold them on the benefits of SOTI over the other types of software and transitioned them to using SOTI rather than the other competitors.

We evaluated Windows Mobile 6.1, at the time, which was a really long time ago. They were known as an industry leader for Windows mobile devices.

I believe we evaluated VMware AirWatch. That was the only other solution we looked at.
View full review »MobiControl was initially used by the South Australian company before it merged with the national organisation. When we were looking for a National solution, we evaluated Dell’s K3000, AirWatch, MobileIron and SOTI MobiControl. SOTI MobiControl was the clear choice for us as a non-for-profit, as they presented us with a very competitive price and the superior Remote Control functionality allowed us to provide support to our 4 metro and 30+ country bases from central sites much more easily and with a smaller team.

I tried a bunch of things but there was nothing that really worked the way SOTI does. I don't remember any of the names, but they weren't that good.

We have always evaluated other options just to see how other people are using SOTI and MobiControl, as well as to see what's new out there. There is always a question of whether we should stick with it, or should we be looking at something else.

We looked at the other offerings that were on the market and chose this one for our proof of concept. We chose it because it is a standalone product and it seems better in terms of granularity. We are happy with it and plan to expand our usage.
View full review »We evaluated, 3 years ago, Afaria, Airwatch and Soti. Soti had an excellent relation between price and quality.

We evaluated MaaS360 by IBM. We also looked at SmartMDM. The other option that we liked that Soti has is their VPN on Demand. That actually worked the way we needed it to, where our current one doesn't.
View full review »I evaluated MobileIron. I decided against it because the sales team was very slow and did not answer me.
View full review »We looked at Samsung Knox and VMware Airwatch solutions.
View full review »Since this was mostly for the radio devices, I wasn't part of that evaluation, but yes there was some evaluation of other options done.
