How has it helped my organization?

It has a user friendly UI which has been very much appreciated by our organization.

What needs improvement?

  • Performance
  • Support for long stream structure
  • Secondary master server
  • Reporting

For how long have I used the solution?

Using AccuRev for more than three years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

There was a challenge to convert data from the existing SCM tool to AccuRev.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The tool has an issue whereby it restarts its services on its own. We may not know when it will restart again, but we have asked the technical team to work on this. Hopefully, they will fix it soon.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

  • Performance degrades when many users hit the server at the same time
  • The server process consumes more memory if it is running for many days

How are customer service and technical support?

Customer Service:

Customer service is good however, it would be better if they could provide on call support which helps us address issues ASAP. If not, we have to wait for their response on their ticket tool.

Technical Support:

Good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously we were using ClearCase. We switched to because of two reasons:

  1. The user friendly UI
  2. License Cost
  3. Good features

What about the implementation team?

We used a vendor team.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Yes, ClearCase/Perforce/CVS.

What other advice do I have?

Suitable tool for mid sized team
