The total ranking of a product, represented by the bar length, is based on a weighted aggregate score. The score is calculated as follows: The product with the highest count in each area gets the highest available score. (20 points for Reviews; 16 points for Views, Comparisons, and Followers.) Every other product gets assigned points based on its total in proportion to the #1 product in that area. For example, if a product has 80% of the number of reviews compared to the product with the most reviews then the product's score for reviews would be 20% (weighting factor) * 80% = 16. For Average Rating, the maximum score is 32 points awarded linearly based on our rating scale of 1-10. If a product has fewer than ten reviews, the point contribution for Average Rating is reduced (one-third reduction in points for products with 5-9 reviews; two-thirds reduction for products with fewer than five reviews). Reviews that are more than 24 months old, as well as those written by resellers, are completely excluded from the ranking algorithm.

How has it helped my organization?

Any organization can take advantage of the ASM feature to discovery the dynamic changing environment and keep the business service view for a given business service.

What needs improvement?

Mobile/iPad Apps version of the UCMDB Browser would be a step ahead, which should have features, like viewing CI information, ownership, etc.

How has it helped my organization?

This solution has improved our tracking. Over the years, we have progressed to have close to a real-time up-to-date view into the assets in our environment. We integrated with Discovery and SCCM products to assist with this as well.

What needs improvement?

Looking for a more streamlined interface; one that matches the other parts of the BMC Remedy product line: * Coloring * Menus * A basic similarity between user interfaces, not one that seems so different from the others.

What is most valuable?

The ability to use it as our single source of truth. It can feed in from multiple sources and upload into various Service Management toolsets, not just Micro Focus ones.

How has it helped my organization?

It has allowed us to centralise the feeds and sources. Previously, like many companies, we stored CMS data in various places and various systems, and they did not always match.

What needs improvement?

Some of the UI could always be improved, but that is personal taste. I am a big fan of removing thick clients and thick servers and making everything Web UI.

What do you think of BMC Atrium CMDB?

Primary Use Case Atrium CMDB is a great solution for having all your networks mapped into it. It underpins the functionality of change, incident, problem management, and asset management modules. • Improvements to My Organization It allows me to easily manage my data: Cleanse, load, and report on it. It is a very comprehensive tool for Configuration Management. • Valuable Features Atrium Integrator Impact simulator Reconciliation ADDM is an added bonus.  Atrium Integrator allows me to manage my data, with regular updates, etc. and integrate with multiple systems. • Room for Improvement I think they have already included what I was going to ask for. I am just waiting for the new release with the new enhanced UI. • Use of Solution More than five years.
