Actian Pervasive Data Integrator [EOL] Review

The most valuable features are the SID and the lookup logic.

What is most valuable?

The features most valuable to me are the SID logic and the lookup logic. Even though it has only a few features in comparison to Informatica, it is nonetheless a robust product.

How has it helped my organization?

We have been using it for ETL. It is very robust and easy to use. We had some performance issues, so we improvised by adding Java logic in transform and load steps.

What needs improvement?

The areas which I think need to be improved are the transform and load steps.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used the product for more than ten years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We didn't have any issues with stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We had some issues and we improved it by adding Java features.

How are customer service and technical support?

I would give technical support a rating of 7/10.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We were not previously using another product.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Pricing and licensing costs are cheaper in comparison to other tools in the market. We use some open source tools, but we still have not replaced PDI.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Talend and Pentaho.

What other advice do I have?

It’s a good tool and easy to learn to use.

Which version of this solution are you currently using?

**Disclosure: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer: We are their very old client.
