Authentify Review

A new way to perform multifactor authentication using specialized SaaS software

What is most valuable?

Avoids man in the middle or man in the browser exploits that other two factor products are susceptible to

For how long have I used the solution?

One month

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I got a few error messages which turned out to be themselves errors.

Which solutions did we use previously?

I have been using SecurID tokens and wanted something that didn't require hardware authentication devices.

How was the initial setup?

Straightforward.

Disclosure: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

How does Aunthentify compare to other systems you have used in the past?

I think Okta and Ping Identity have equally good solutions.

Interesting. Are there exploits that SaaS authentification is capable of preventing or thwarting that man-in-the-middle or browsers are not capable of?

The short answer is yes, but it really depends on a lot of factors: are you running the most current browser versions? The latest are better but not as good as running a third party single sign on app like Okta etc.

Are you connecting to a third party SaaS app or some web app on your internal network? some products work better one way or the other.
