Chainguard Images is a collection of container images designed for security and minimalism. These images are distroless, meaning they only contain an application and its runtime dependencies. This makes them smaller and more secure than traditional container images. Chainguard Images are built with Wolfi, a Linux undistro designed from the ground up to produce container images that meet the requirements of a secure software supply chain. Chainguard Images are available from the Chainguard Registry and can be pulled from cgr.dev.
