If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

We replaced our Cisco ASAs with our Check Points. Our version of the Cisco ASA was at end of life, and we would have needed to move to the… more»

What other advice do I have?

Nothing is perfect, but Check Point is pretty close to perfect. Check Point is an anomaly in the industry as they only do security. They have been… more»

What is most valuable?

When they work, the log correlation, IPS, antivirus, anti-bot, and the SandBlast are the most valuable features.

How has it helped my organization?

Check Point has enabled us to detect a lot of threats and prevented a lot of threats from entering our environments. It has kept us safe.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see more fine-tune MDM integration, specifically iPhones and Symantec pieces. It integrated in great, but not all of the features… more»

What is most valuable?

The easy deployment is the key for us. I can simply send a link through email to a user, then they install the software and are protected.

How has it helped my organization?

We use SandBlast, internally, as a test bed so we can go out and sell it. The ease of the deployment to users has been key, and most beneficial for… more»

What needs improvement?

I would like to see more visibility into the actual devices that it's protecting. In some cases, you don't want to see a lot. However, for our… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We didn't actually purchase the software. It was given to us by Check Point. We are using it as a test bed for possible future customers.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate it a nine of ten because of the ease of installing it. Using it on a daily basis, the administration is quite easy. I would advise… more»

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is that attachments to emails and downloads from the web are being emulated in the cloud. We see some malicious downloads… more»

How has it helped my organization?

It has caught some harmful attachments and downloads.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We would like to try the Threat Extraction blade, but you need to buy a license. Check Point is expensive. I would like to buy things, but I would… more»

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

In the beginning, Check Point was just a firewall. It is much more than that now. We have been using the product for over 20 years.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate it an eight out of ten. It is not a ten simply because nothing is perfect. I would advise someone considering this solution to get a… more»

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

When I came onboard, this solution was already implemented.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate it an eight out of ten because it is stable and works well. We have never run into an issue with it. It is frequently updated and our… more»

What is most valuable?

Its ease of use is the most valuable feature. The interface board is also easy to use. We had existing endpoints, and it was an easy upgrade process.

How has it helped my organization?

We have a lot of mobile users who work on their laptops from home. Sometimes people travel, they'll go away and connect to hotel or airport WiFis. We had an instance where somebody… more»

What needs improvement?

There was a learning curve for our general population of employees (the user).

What other advice do I have?

I would rate it an eight out of ten. I like product. I was not part of the decision-making process. I was just tasked with deploying the solution.

What is most valuable?

We like that we get to segregate our network. If there's any malicious content in any of those files it gets segregated so it doesn't affect any of your existing infrastructure or network traffic.

How has it helped my organization?

SandBlast has opened us up to a lot more opportunities where we can offer this service to clients. This way they don't have to go to a third-party to get this specific solution. It comes in the Check Point Infinity package, so it has helped us a… more»

What needs improvement?

I would like to see different types of network traffic that we could actually analyze, not just files, but the users as well.

What is most valuable?

Its ability to rollback anti-ransomware once an attack has started is the most valuable feature.

What needs improvement?

It needs to include built-in deployment. This will make the job easier rather than having to go and dig up an Active Directory deployment along with policy objects.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

We previously used Symantec Endpoint. Our reason for switching is because Check Point offers the most secure and surefire way to tackle ransomware. I was part of the decision-making… more»

What other advice do I have?

Don't think about getting the product. Just do it. I would rate it a ten out of ten. No other product on the market is able to rollback a ransomware attack once it has started.
