Marketing Manager at Accscient

I used Pardot.

Pardot had a very complex user interface and was geared towards e-commerce, which didn't align with our needs. It was complex and didn't justify the ROI.

Prior to using this solution, I used Act-On for several years. One of the main reasons we decided to switch was the social media functionality because we manage 22 social media sites, and we were using a lot of third-party tools. HubSpot offered the ability to integrate all of that, and track the website, webpages, and email. Plus, there were a couple of bits of functionality in HubSpot that Act-On didn't have, and the scalability into sales and other features that we could utilize should we wish to in the future. I almost have regrets about switching from Act-On to HubSpot because we did lose the location feature I mentioned earlier, but overall, it was good.

I haven't used ZohoMAX extensively, but my experience with Zoho suggests it's more complex in terms of user experience compared to HubSpot. Finding things and setting up workflows is easier and cleaner in HubSpot.

When I was looking for a solution approximately five years ago there were not very many solutions on the market. In the current market, there are many better solutions available.

Account Manager at a tech services company with 1-10 employees

As an agency, we have to work with many CMS, marketing automation, and social media tools. In these capacities, I find that HubSpot tends to provide for a superior user experience while allowing for a more effective, scalable digital marketing program. In terms of analytics and SEO, HubSpot offers a subpar solution. As a CRM, HubSpot is infinitely more user-friendly than Salesforce but considerably less robust in its offering.

We previously used MailChimp, but we needed a more all-in-one platform. MailChimp was only offering email marketing services and we needed to add lead scoring, landing page creation, SEO, reporting, etc.
