It has most probably reduced the bounce rate on our website for people with disabilities, but I don't have specific data in front of me. I also don't have the data about whether it has increased the time that disabled users spend on our site, but it must have been helpful. I would rate it a 10 out of 10. I don't have any negative thoughts on it so far.
I would recommend the solution overall. It provides a good service to our customers, enabling them to not have concerns about clients. Technically, it is visible to everyone, but you have to expand it to engage with it. I would rate the solution as a nine out of 10.
My advice would be, "Go for it." It's a super-simple installation and you're helping make the web a more accessible place. One thing I've learned from using the solution is just how many different types of disabilities are affected when using the web. I always thought, "Oh yeah, we need to do this for people who need screen readers or people who have bad vision and need to adjust contrast." But going through all of the different adjustments and features that are within it, you can really tell that they've thought through the ton of different disabilities, across the spectrum, which cause people to have a hard time viewing the web. This all-in-one solution resolves that for a lot of people out there. The Accessibility Statement button helps from a legal perspective, although I highly doubt that people who are clicking into the statement will read anything in it. It's like the terms and conditions. You need them, but they're not something that's going to make or break a user experience.
It's easy, fast, and competitively priced. Just make sure that you get into the right package for you based on the number of pages that you have indexed on Google. The pricing is based on the number of pages that you have indexed on Google, so make sure you understand how many pages you need to be signing up for when you're choosing the right package and right price point. Biggest lesson learnt: The peace of mind is worth the price. I would rate it an eight out of 10 because there must always be room for improvement. However, they have performed to our satisfaction so far.
Seriously consider this solution. There are law firms who patrol the Internet looking to sue you. It is sad. It's not the actual disabled users who are out there suing you. It's the law firms. It is not a product that you use to purposely increase sales or make a better user experience. It is really just for disabled, visually-impaired, and hearing-impaired users to use your website. It is a very small subset of people. If you have a letter of compliance when you install this product, it makes everything compliant. So, you're no longer out of compliance if you get sued. I would rate this solution as 10 out of 10. For what it is designed to do, it is perfect.
