Rescued an out-of-control and woefully-behind-schedule project to modernize a federal criminal investigative agency's IT system to track and manage Criminal investigation and Counter-terrorism cases globally. Project interfaced with mutiple investigative and law enforcement agencies, and eventually we replaced an antiquated "green-screen" application with a (then) modern graphical system running in a client-server model (replacing a single mainframe).
