A great addition to our security monitoring system

What is our primary use case?

We're using it as part of our security monitoring system — essentially collecting logs and metrics and analyzing it for security at times.

Pros and Cons

  • "The security aspects in general have been very useful to use."
  • "At some level, the documentation, the information as far as the components, it's sometimes a little difficult to find the information necessary to implement aspects."

What other advice do I have?

As with most SIEM solutions — it takes time. It takes time and you have to evolve the system and configure it to meet your needs. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of eight.

A robust solution with a whole spectrum of features that's extremely scalable

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution to analyze our logs.

Pros and Cons

  • "There's a whole spectrum of features on the solution that users can take advantage of. It's a very robust product."
  • "The dashboard is not user-friendly. The solution, in general, isn't great from a user's perspective."

What other advice do I have?

We use the public cloud deployment model. The solution is complex, but with the right training, you can really get a lot out of the product. It's very powerful. You're just limited by the knowledge. If you don't have it, you won't get as much out of the solution. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. The price is high if you aren't using the full potential of the product, so if you are considering implementing it, keep that in mind.
