I find it a little bit complicated. Although it is well engineered, it is hard to maintain and update. It is a little bit cumbersome. Overall, it's a sound solution but it takes a lot of man hours to keep up.

If we’re talking Converged then integrating new hardware is rather easy. If we’re talking hyperconverged then it’s a little different, depending on what platform you’re going with. If it is Cisco’s HyperFlex, which we use, then it is rather simple to integrate that into the current USC system. If it is NetApp HCI, which we do not use, then I don’t know how hard that would be. I think that Cisco HyperFlex is what we’re going to go with.

I’ve gotten a lot of use out of the validated designs because that is what I go by, whenever we’re building out systems for the customers. It seems like they stay pretty up to date on the newly released products.

They're always validating new designs on FlexPod to adapt to current versions of software and WMware, for instance. They're all good, validated designs.
