How has it helped my organization?

* Enterprise reporting through the entire organization. * Sharing same data among the users. * Single version of the truth.

What needs improvement?

Visual Insight/Desktop: It is trailing behind competitors such as Tableau or QlikView, which have more functionality. The Developer app could get some UI enhancements.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

MicroStrategy has improved the way they license the modules, but I still consider it expensive.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We were using legacy apps with really little opportunity to perform data analytics.

They need to improve visualization and dashboards, as it is getting tough competition from Tableau in the area. With the release of version 10.4, they did very good.
