What is most valuable?

- Perfect virtualization server, as it has 4 Intel Xeon 7500 sockets and 64 DIMM slots to utilize 1TB of RAM. - R910 utilizes Intel’s RAS (Machine check architecture) feature which monitors hardware errors and recovers from them, which provides advanced reliability for critical applications. We are using these servers for our Oracle databases, web applications, and terminal services, and are very… more »

What needs improvement?

We have been using R910 servers in our data center for 2 years and have not encountered any serious issue.

What other advice do I have?

PowerEdge R910 is a powerful machine which supports 1TB RAM and takes advantage of its Nehalem EX processing power using 4 sockets including 32 cores. We strongly recommend R910 for efficient and scalable server infrastructure.

What is most valuable?

• Good management tool – the overall management is simplified with Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) • It is cheaper than similar products from other vendors. • Reduced power consumption • It supports up to 12 LFF or 24 SFF hot plug-in SAS. • The nodes are hot swappable. • Good warranty and support services.

What needs improvement?

We deployed four PowerEdge C6100 when we needed to reduce the power consumption and the amount of heat generated in our data-center. In the long run, we discovered that we have succeeded in reducing the space… more »

What other advice do I have?

Each of the PowerEdge C6100's can accommodate either 12 LFF or 24 SFF hard disk drives. This is a major improvement compared to what we used to have. PowerEdge C6100 is totally independent with its own monitor port, serial port, USB port, and NICs.

What is PowerEdge C?

PowerEdge C help you to maximize hyperscale performance with up to 4 independent server nodes, flexible storage and shared infrastructure in a compact 2U chassis.
