Tintri VMstore Stability
The stability has been excellent. We are never a first-mover. We don't get a lot of budget in the state courts, so I'm always looking for things that are cutting-edge, that are enterprise-wide, that I can be an early adopter of, provided that it works really well. We have constitutional requirements that all of our cases be decided within two terms and we're up until 11 o'clock at night finishing those last cases, six times a year. Whatever I install has to be absolutely rock-solid and wholly reliable for those times. We're over 100 years old and we've never missed a deadline. Now that it's all computerized, I don't want to be responsible for them missing that deadline. The software has always been stable.
We're always a point or so behind on upgrades. We watch the VMware, SAN, and Zerto upgrades. All that has to float along. But we watch upgrades to see how they go for a month or so before we do them. That means we haven't really seen a lot of bugs or issues with Tintri.
Tintri has introduced new features that we're currently not using. For example, we've been running a MySQL database for five years, but now they've increased their capability to run much larger databases than we run. They handle the performance and other issues people have when they have really large systems. We aren't leveraging those things, which means we don't know if there is a bug in them. But all the features we use, like real-time replication, snapshotting, and provisioning have been very solid.
View full review »VMstore is incredibly stable. It has not missed a heartbeat in seven years. The only issue we ever had was caused by a Microsoft update to Active Directory, not Tintri.
View full review »We've never had an issue with crashing, lagging, or downtime.

We would rate the stability eight out of ten. Originally, we had a considerable amount of work to complete with regard to the global controls associated with our migration to the Tintri VMstore. However, in terms of our day-to-day operations, we have not experienced any stability issues that have significantly impacted our employees.

It's very stable. I've never had any problems with Tintri. They usually are pretty good at keeping track of their equipment. Usually, because they have noticed some hard drives are going down or are bad, they have already sent us drives to replace them. Tintri is one of the appliances that I barely needed to look at and maintain.
We have not encountered any stability issues.
View full review »We had a couple of issues when updating firmware on the T540, but Tintri support was very fast to respond.
View full review »We have performed failover testing before going live and experienced no issues.
We have also performed updates to Tintri during the day with no problems.

View full review »No. I can perform OS upgrades during the day. The active-passive architecture switches so fast the upgrade causes no issues.
View full review »It runs very good. Software upgrades can made during office hours.
View full review »Tintri VMstore is rock solid. We have not had a single issue with it. It is also very low maintenance allowing us to concentrate on project work.
View full review »There were no issues in terms of stability. But in terms of performance, with the hybrid box, when the IOmeter was set to literally bombard the box, there was an increase in latency which we managed to address with policies. So in short, the box is highly configurable.
View full review »It's got reliable hardware plus seamless HA failover.
View full review »The Tintri platform is rock solid. The increase in stability has been the major reason that we are so pleased with Tintri.
View full review »Not a lot to do more on a Tintri. It is always monitored by the vendor, if you like, and their reaction time and quality are awesome.
View full review »VMStore is fully redundant. We tested all kinds of failures and the box is very stable. If you upgrade the firmware, you don't have to worry about downtime -- you don't have any! We also had some network problems but the HA did very well.
View full review »Never any stability issues. Even OS upgrade is simply and can be done during production hours.
View full review »Out of the six controllers we have deployed one card failed after a week. The affected system did not degrade in performance in any way and Tintri had a replacement controller out to me for a rapid changeout. I can not speak highly enough of how well the guys tackled the situation and the whole experience had zero impact on our regular computer operations.
Tintri's own OS upgrades are also super stable and applying firmware updates is a total non-event.

View full review »It's been very stable for us.
View full review »There were stability issues only when we exceeded the operational limitations. We found that the number of running VM’s advertised per device is not consistent with what we experience due to the workload each of our VM’s generates.
