What do you think of HPE SimpliVity?

Primary Use Case: General IT workloads of core services and standard line of business applications. • Improvements to My Organization: Reduced storage footprint of primary and secondary copies of data and WAN replication bandwidth with good performance. • Valuable Features: Dedupe, compression, and replication of primary and secondary data, locally and remotely. Less experienced admins can perform storage tasks. • Room for Improvement: Needs decoupling of distributed data fabric to run in a hyperscale deployment outside the hypervisor on dedicated nodes. • Use of Solution: One to three years.

How has it helped my organization?

What needs improvement?

Extra features should not be so expensive. We would love to be able to use or even just try some of the extra features without having to buy them. Buying those features is just as expensive as buying vSphere licenses, so the cost savings is... more»
