The initial setup is very straightforward.

I was not involved in the initial deployment process.

We have all of the services we need. However, I am in the process of centralizing all of the remote locations. While it is on-premises now, we are working on getting an enterprise platform on the cloud.

We have one administrator that can handle any maintenance. It does not really require any constant management.

The initial setup for a new user is a bit confusing. I had previous experience with the solution so I was able to complete the setup easily.

The deployment steps were configuring the interfaces, load balancing, policies, access policies, creating groups, and providing the necessary access policies to each group. The deployment took around three days.

How straightforward the initial setup is will depend on what you are turning on and what you are not turning on. If you just want to get a box up and running, it's relatively easy. If you want to start turning on all the features and configuring it, then it gets more complex. The complexity depends on how far you want to take it. If you want to just have a basic level of firewalling by the fault, then SonicWall TZ will work relatively easily out of the box. However, if you want to get the bang for the buck in terms of its feature set, you have to configure it a little bit.

How long deployment takes also depends on complexity. If you are just deploying on one site, it can take as little as a couple of hours.

It is straightforward. It is out-of-the-box and anyone can configure it. The deployment takes less than one day. Basically, while they were deploying this TZ Series firewall, we didn't face any issues. But there are some old customers who had some issues with the IPs they had to set on from remote offices to the HO. In that case, we did that troubleshooting. Other than that, we didn't face any issues.

The initial setup is not complex. It's very straightforward. We found it to be quite easy.

It may take a while to deploy the solution, at least here in Haiti. It will take longer than a few hours. Depending on the client, it can take anywhere from a day or two to up to ten or 15 days.

It's all dependent on the customer side. What will define the length of time will be is the mobile policy they want to implement on the firewall. That depends on the customer.

You only need one person to deploy and maintain the solution.

The initial setup was very straightforward. Deployment time depends on the client but if we're starting from scratch, you can have it updated and deployed within an afternoon without issue. We have our own techs with experience who can get things set up to the best of our ability. Implementation takes one person who knows what they're doing, but we have a team that can help out and troubleshoot if we run into issues.

For a small and medium implementation, it's quick, however, for an enterprise, it takes some time to configure the policy for the company.

We have two people that handle the maintenance, and we also have one consultant.

The initial setup was complex. It is not so straight forward. It's not tough like others, but still, they can improve on it.

Deployment takes, depending upon the concentration, anywhere from half a day to two days, depending upon the password you need to deal with for all the configuration. If everything is not the same, like you have UTM features and all those things, it may go up to one day, depending upon the configuration. If the training is also added into it, two, three days including training and assistance.

The initial deployment is easy. Even in the case when a client has a particularly exotic configuration - the support is quick, fast, and very professional.

How long the deployment takes depends. Normally, the delays are the fault of the misinformation we receive from a client. Or misunderstanding the information the client provided us before we did the setup of the firewall. Normally it's not a problem with SonicWall.

It is easy to set up SonicWall. It just depends on the scope of the project.

To set up for initial use takes about two hours. We start with the basic configuration and that is enough to start using SonicWall. After that, we do the more complex and detailed configuration of the security features.

Since we can deploy SonicWall in two hours with the basic configuration, we do a fast start because my users are starting to use the web and receive emails. After that, we do the next steps of the complex config for the more detailed secured configurations.

It has an easy setup. You can centralize all the connectivity. This OS is running with each and everything, and you can monitor it all from the centralized point.

I also give the support for Exchange, but this will take low bandwidth and low latency from any mobile connectivity, any internet, any low-bandwidth connectivity and work fine. But other products like McAfee and Symantec can support the Exchange.

It can take time for the synchronization of updating the devices. This depends on how many devices we have connecting from the portal and which devices they are working on. Sometimes, you have the scanning on there. So it will take that functionality and we can define for root causes on the other things. We can define according to policy. So this depends on the policy design. It also depends on that criteria.

The deployment duration depends on the transportation. If the installation site is far from our office, it takes time to transport it. In terms of installation, if a client's site is ready to deploy the firewall, then we don't need much time. We can do it instantly.

Sometimes, the licensing part can take some time. If someone wants a renewal, it can take some time to complete the procedure and receive the license via email, but it is bearable and not the problem.
