TIBCO Jaspersoft Review

Report locales provide multi-language support. It should have a report bursting option.

What is most valuable?

  • Profile attributes for implementing multi-tenancy.
  • Report locales for implementation of multi-language support in report development.
  • Subreports, in many reports, to achieve specific report requirements.

How has it helped my organization?

We are using Jaspersoft for report development.

What needs improvement?

There is scope of improvement in terms of:

  • More flexibility for report / dashboards development.
  • A report bursting option.
  • Caching of query input controls that creates problem.
(In regards to input controls which are based on SQL queries, they show cached data instead of fetching new data every time reports are executed. Input controls still show old data, even if there is a change in data and consequent query results.)
  • Scriptlet execution option before the main data set execution.
