Nagios vs ScienceLogic

It alerts users when things go wrong and alerts them a second time when the problem has been resolved. Ethan Galstad and a group of developers originally wrote Nagios as NetSaint. As of 2015 "Agios" also transliterates the Greek word, which means "saint".

The company's product is a monitoring and management system that performs discovery, dependency mapping, monitoring, alerting, ticketing, runbook automation, dashboarding and reporting for networks, compute, storage and applications. The ScienceLogic platform monitors both on-premises and cloud-based IT assets, enabling customers who use public cloud services, such as Amazon Web Services, to migrate workloads to the cloud.
