The difference is very clear. I would like to add that while Cognos Enterprise can work for one business or company, it might not work for another due to various factors. For instance, a company with an IT professional can easily use Business Objects and one that needs to outsource an IT expert might make use of the IBM Cognos in case they are short of funds to get such a professional. This is due to the fact that Cognos does not require a professional to operate it. Although the Cognos tools are not integrated like those of Business Objects, they are much simpler to understand and use.

Yes I agree with the differences shown but if the customer who has full SAP house it would be better for him to choose SAP BO which can integrate well with their existing system rather than going for a third party tool.I have not used Cognos yet so I cannot comment on its advantages over SAP BO.
