We are just customers and end-users.

There are features in there that I'd like to see improved, however, in terms of it being a business tool I'd rate the solution an eight out of ten. As a business tool, I find it extremely usable and very solid.

My recommendation for those planning to use this solution is first to plan out what they hope to achieve with the platform and ensure that they can access most of the out-of-the-box features with a certain level of customization. This is definitely possible. Additionally, try to leverage the platform's capabilities as much as possible instead of relying on customizations, as many features are already available in its out-of-the-box feature. Most of the implementation may take time or may face failure, but if they adapt to in-house or inbuilt features, then it can be done. Though my only concern is the solution's pricing, overall, I rate this solution a ten out of ten.

I would advise other people looking into this solution, that if they're mainly dealing with the B2C model, to not go with Salesforce as it's not fit for it.

I would rate the Salesforce solution a seven, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.

I'd advise to definitely not customize. As they rolled out the new versions, which were every six months, there had to be some significant testing and verification that happened. New companies need to have a good, strong third-party provider that is very experienced to assist. We used Deloitte. We did investigations. We evaluated Accenture, KPMG, and some others - even IBM - however, basically, we decided on Deloitte and that was a good decision for us.

You need to have a really good partner who has a center of excellence, or experts, that could give you a lot of insights into what they've learned that could jumpstart your deployment. I'd advise new users to just stay standard and really focus on the licensing. Otherwise, it could get really costly.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We are quite satisfied with Salesforce.

Many teams can use this solution, including marketing, sales, CRM, business development, and HR. Typically I would recommend users to start using it right from the prospect stage, talking about sales language. That said, you can pick it up at any time. The prospect stage is a great place to start leveraging Salesforce, however. It gives an immense capability to have an end-to-end view when you are in sales.

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.

In my opinion, it is a complete tool with a very bad UI.

I would recommend technical personnel to just start from zero with the solution because they have a great self-explanatory platform. I think that one can climb up the ranks from being just an administrator to becoming a developer or a solution architect quite fast if one takes advantage of the learning materials that are mostly free on the solution. For a manager, I would say it's good for an entry-level manager. Overall, I rate the solution a six out of ten.

I have experience with the enterprise edition of the Salesforce Platform. I also have experience with HubSpot.

I'm not aware of which version of the Salesforce Platform I used because I'm just a user, not a developer.

The advice I'd give to people who want to implement the Salesforce Platform is to look deeply and very carefully at the cost of implementation because it could be very high sometimes. On the other hand, the platform brings tremendous value proposition.

There's no additional feature I'd like added to the Salesforce Platform because at the moment it has all features that are important to me and the company. For example, it has the Marketing Cloud which helps align marketing and sales pretty easily and more globally. Salesforce has also acquired a lot of other platforms to make different processes easier, for example, it acquired Tableau, Slack, and other companies, so now the company has a larger portfolio than other CRMs. I firmly believe that Salesforce has a tremendous portfolio for enterprise companies, but for medium and small companies, I do not recommend the Salesforce Platform because it's too expensive.

My rating for the Salesforce Platform is nine out of ten.

My company has no partnership with Salesforce.

From a pricing perspective, I believe it's safe to say that this platform ranks as the top choice globally. It offers an incredibly user-friendly experience and provides efficient storage solutions, albeit at a relatively higher cost. Nevertheless, it's also the most widely adopted platform worldwide, owing to its comprehensive set of features and capabilities that cater to organizations of all sizes, particularly larger IT firms. Whether it's big IT companies or any other industry, this platform stands out as a CRM tool for internal purposes, mainly due to its cost-effectiveness.

When planning a Salesforce implementation, or any similar platform for that matter, it's essential to have a crystal-clear understanding of your needs. This advice extends beyond Salesforce to other platforms as well.

Salesforce often provides recommendations on how objects and custom objects should be created. My suggestion would always be to aim for a solution that leans towards standardization. Avoid adding unnecessary complexity through extensive programming or excessive custom object creation.

I recommend leveraging no-code or low-code solutions rather than diving into pro-code development. Pro-code can introduce complexity, especially when dealing with new releases. With no-code and low-code approaches, you can ensure that your solutions remain robust and don't break with each update.

Therefore, it's advisable to rely on standard objects and processes as much as possible. If customization is required, prefer configuration or flow options. Only in the most complex scenarios should you consider pro-code, such as Apex programming. This approach ensures stability. Additionally, during the design phase, create plenty of instances to facilitate the entire process.

This advice is applicable across the board, but it's particularly crucial for Salesforce implementations. Properly planning data design and reference architecture before implementation is key. These principles can significantly impact the success of any implementation.

Overall, I would rate it as an eight out of ten. It's a very good solution, but it does come with complexity.

From my perspective, they need to incorporate plugins. Salesforce is a great platform. It's like being able to use the apps on an iPhone. It looks good, you can make calls and it's easy to use but it's the ability to add apps which makes it great. In Salesforce terms, the value lies in the modular solutions through the plugins.

In terms of rating, the solution loses points because of the non-intuitive reporting. On the other hand, it provides many benefits. I would therefore rate the solution eight out of 10.

It's important to understand what you need for the short, middle and long term. Salesforce is a huge platform and might provide a level of functionality that you don't need. I would highly recommend implementation with a partner. It simplifies the process and if a company doesn't have the resources or people to administer the platform, it can effect the outcome. I am not sure which version of the solution I am on at this time.

There's a Google disruption going on here in terms of how to share content and paste it back into Salesforce. I've just tried to put the link in there. Now I'm kind of on the journal conversations. If I've added an activity or event, or I just paste the notes or link to whatever else inside the journal conversation, there seems to be payback if other users pay attention to it.

I'm kind of a Microsoft guy. However, if someone's having a look at it, I would advise that they really look at what they're trying to accomplish and what the rest of the tech stack looks like. Maybe it is the best for what they're trying to do, however, from a Microsoft perspective, most folks have exchanged Teams and everything else, and it goes hand in hand, with your Active directory and the rest of those identity services.

When you start with a disparate CRM, it's kind of against the grain and it's not quite as cohesive. On top of that, when you have meetings and everything else, you have content and collateral that's created so you need to know where are you going to store those assets.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. It's a good solution, however, it's not something I would personally pick.

We're partners with Salesforce.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we're currently using.

We're a sizeable company and have 3,000-4,000 people using the solution currently.

We're moving towards a different cloud due to a corporate mandate we'd like to have the opportunity to implement it there.

There's a lot of training that needs to be done to get used to the solution and to get to understand all of the features on offer. To tackle this, we have asked the task force training candidate members to get everyone trained. Getting a good handle on the solution is very important.

Before Salesforce, we used to use four to five disparate systems to manage all the customers. With Salesforce, we have been given one central source of tools. There are several departments that used to target customers separately and each of them was using their own systems for tracking. Now, with this one tool, there's only one type of invoice. It's streamlined everything in terms of billing and customer outreach.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

The hardest part of using the system is finding the technical resources to do the customization and configuration. I'd recommend getting going with a good contracting firm, but make sure you interview and lock in the resources. After that, I'd recommend you find internal business people who know your processes and happen to have a technical aptitude and get them trained up to be admins and developers. We did that and it worked out great...but be prepared to give them significant raises, promotions, and/or long term incentives to keep them with your company.

The solution is good.

It's only as good as the company that you are working for, who sets it up, and that monitors it and dates it. This is one of the biggest challenges with customer relationships.

Management Software such as the Salesforce Platform ensures data quality.

The tool can be great, but if you don't enter enough accurate data and keep it up to date then the CRM tool functionality cannot be leveraged.

I would advise having a data quality manager for this solution. If you're going to be using it to manage sales over time and for marketing efforts, if you don't have up-to-date complete information in there, then you don't get the value out of the solution.

I would rate Salesforce Platform a seven out of ten.

Before using this solution, you must make sure that your processes are very clear. You should know what do you want from the CRM and what outcome you are expecting. The CRM itself is very easy to use and deploy, but you can also make mistakes while going back and forth. If you don't have complete clarity of what you want from the business standpoint, you will lose valuable time in customizing the stuff that is not required. You will end up measuring stuff that you don't really care about. That's why you need to know your needs and the outcome that you're expecting.

I would advise those wanting to implement Salesforce Platform to have a dedicated Salesforce administrator who is used to have all changes go through them. Everything has to go through one person or it can get really complicated to manage.

Salesforce Platform is very good at what it does. However, it is still cumbersome, but then again, all the solutions I have used that are similar are all cumbersome. They all are asking for a lot of information in order to capture good realistic data. I have been doing technical sales amongst other things for 30 years and I do not know how these solutions can be made less cumbersome and still capture accurate information out of it.

The App Cloud is not a single product, but rather a multitude of the Salesforce compatible apps, also known as the AppExchange. It is very similar to the App Store or Google Play.

I find that the search facility on the AppExchange does not always allow for keyword searching. If I type in the word Form, it will not necessarily bring up all the apps on the exchange that can be used for form processing. If you know the name of the app you are looking for or its publisher then it works well.
