What is most valuable?

I believe the ease of setup and use, including everything, from the initial installation to the discovery of devices is the most valuable. The advanced alerting and notifications capabilities are helpful as well. Devices can be discovered... more»

How has it helped my organization?

SolarWinds NPM allowed the IT department to take a more proactive approach to troubleshooting, and gaining insights on device availability. We were able to use the integration with Storage Manager and Virtualization Manager to gain valuable... more»

What needs improvement?

The SolarWinds notification and alerting configuration could be simplified as it would be easier to find if it was within the NPM web application instead of in a separate client application. The SolarWinds Orion/NPM installation comes with a... more»

What do you think of SolarWinds LEM?

Valuable Features The out of the box reports and dashboard. It was easy to trim down these windows to something we could quickly use. • Improvements to My Organization It allows us to monitor access and pull cyber reports quickly. No more searching through logs on each server. There was not much customization, which we had to do with Splunk. • Room for Improvement I imagine we will have to develop our own reports soon, this seems to be more cumbersome. • Use of Solution For five months now. • Deployment Issues Not really. • Stability Issues Not yet. • Scalability Issues Not yet. • Customer Service and Technical Support Customer Service: Good. There can be lag times on responses. Technical Support: Eight on a scale of 10. • Previous Solutions ...

What is most valuable?

The overall valuable feature is the integration that exists. It really ties everything together to see the entire stack. Individually, the main focus of each component is the value. * Being able to see your devices * Monitoring the components... more»

How has it helped my organization?

What needs improvement?

The nice thing about SolarWinds is that the company always looks to improve their products. Since they regularly update the software for stability and new features, it’s not easy to pinpoint items to improve unless they directly impact... more»
