The total ranking of a product, represented by the bar length, is based on a weighted aggregate score. The score is calculated as follows: The product with the highest count in each area gets the highest available score. (20 points for Reviews; 16 points for Views, Comparisons, and Followers.) Every other product gets assigned points based on its total in proportion to the #1 product in that area. For example, if a product has 80% of the number of reviews compared to the product with the most reviews then the product's score for reviews would be 20% (weighting factor) * 80% = 16. For Average Rating, the maximum score is 32 points awarded linearly based on our rating scale of 1-10. If a product has fewer than ten reviews, the point contribution for Average Rating is reduced (one-third reduction in points for products with 5-9 reviews; two-thirds reduction for products with fewer than five reviews). Reviews that are more than 24 months old, as well as those written by resellers, are completely excluded from the ranking algorithm.

Adaptive has come a long way each year and continues to improve. Users continue to become more advanced and are looking for more advanced solutions. Adaptive does a good job keeping up with these ever changing improvements.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are the Planning forums, the ability to do all sorts of translation, and the ability to move data about with relative ease if the coding isn't too difficult.

What needs improvement?

I would like to see instant dynamic calculations and more out of the box functionality within Planning. I would also like to see a feature with HFM and Planning to move data more frequently and easily. How has it helped my organization?

Reporting was dramatically improved. We can get the answer to practically any question quickly. All regular reporting comes from Hubble. All integrity issues are addressed using Hubble. It is all about speed, completeness, and ease of use.

What needs improvement?

I am not sure I understand the recently introduced new Insight pricing model. Otherwise, there are no areas of improvement at the present time.

What is most valuable?

We utilize planning on a daily basis, therefore we find it to be the most valuable product for our organization. We also use the integration feature to import actuals from our accounting system.

How has it helped my organization?

We have gone from an organization that looked backwards at financials and had a one-time annual budget to an organization that looks forward, has rolling forecasts, long-term planning, metrics, and push button reporting.

What needs improvement?

We tried Discovery and OfficeConnect at one point and found them too cumbersome, at the time. There have been improvements to both and we may try them again.

What do you think of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud?

Valuable Features We have labor queues and workforce planning as well as our complete budget and focus for different business areas in the company. It is adding so much value. • Room for Improvement It could be more friendly with Excel. We have big forms with a few thousand rows and columns, which can sometimes cause performance issues. Users sometimes complain when they find that it can take up to a minute to open a big file. What is most valuable?

It makes it easy for users to get through and see what they have to do next. There are caveats though, and it’s not all positive. Things happen behind the scenes with the input forms that are riddled with negatives.

What needs improvement?

They could change the current web forms. You can’t stroll seamless down them because they jump. You can’t control F anymore to find something on a large form as well. What do you think of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud?

Valuable Features From a standardized input perspective, we’re very happy with it. • Room for Improvement We are not that happy with how you get information out of the system. I wish we could delete years out of the Planning cube so that we didn't have to keep growing. Also, we would like to see the ability to build dimensions more dynamically. • Use of Solution It's been operational for 6 years. • Stability Issues Planning takes some hand holding since processes have not been automated. What is most valuable?

The speed and flexibility. Being able to create calculations, hierarchies, aging buckets, etc. has reduced the Excel reports we used to have.

How has it helped my organization?

We have reduced the number of errors by creating exception reports to catch setup issues before a transaction occurs. An example is a wrong GL class code on a new part number.

What needs improvement?

When exporting to Excel, it is values only. It would be nice to have the formulas exported or the ability to retrieve data into an Excel spreadsheet which already has formulas. For example, a Hubble report may have a sum of a column at the... more»

Valuable Features Live data reporting and ability to design reports without IT involvement. • Improvements to My Organization We have saved hours of Excel work producing the same results, which Hubble gives in minutes. • Room for Improvement Exporting to Excel takes a lot of time when broken into sheets/files. We could not get monthly cash flow right as the system doesn’t take the opening of cash balance from the previous month, instead it takes it from the beginning of the year.
