Oracle HCM Cloud Pricing

It is definitely super expensive. Oracle is very, very expensive for what they offer. From a value perspective, it's really expensive. They don't really deliver the value for the money we pay.

The price of Oracle HCM Cloud could improve. However, everyone would like the price of a solution they are using to be less expensive.

According to the Turkish market, the pricing is a little bit expensive. There are so many HCM solutions in Turkish markets. So, Oracle is one of the expensive ones. So, not all people and companies can make an Oracle investment easily.

But when we compare cloud solutions with global HCM solutions, they're not more expensive than an SAP solution or Workday solution, etc. But for our markets, for our country, it's a considerably expensive one. So, in Turkey, we can position Oracle HCM solutions only for enterprise-level companies.

It's difficult to assess whether this is an expensive solution. Salesforce, for example, costs about $100+ per month, but it has significant business visibility in terms of revenue, along with great extension ability. Fusion costs less but the usage is low because there's little to entice our employees to access it.

I rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten. A comprehensive understanding of your requirements is essential for successful deployment. Without it, the process may become challenging and less likely to succeed.

Though I cannot comment on the solution's cost, a fixed cost is involved based on my understanding. The cost multiplies based on the number of users.

The price for Oracle HCM Cloud is expensive in Iran, but in other countries, such as Turkey, it can be reasonably priced.

There are times when the deployment requirements can change and in some cases, we need to have a lot of customization and personalization. This can increase the time the project takes and the cost of the project.

There are some projects where we need third-party software. For example, in a large Turkey and Dubai company, we use the time and labor inside Oracle, but for the others, we didn't use them. We have to create it in-house or we can buy the missing tool from another company. The integration from these third-party companies costs money.

We negotiated to get a discount and we got a big discount. Normally this product is a little bit expensive something compared with similar solutions. But it is a good value because of what it does.

On an annual basis, we pay about $25,000 for our company. This includes the VAT, support, upgrades and everything else.

I think it’s pretty straightforward. I would advise others to make sure that they have a plan in place and that they’re prepared before they sign the contracts. Since it’s cloud, once you sign the contract the clock will start ticking and you’ll start playing. Getting ready, preparing for the project, and working with the Oracle Sales team on the contract is very important to save some money.

Oracle HCM Cloud is pricey, but price-wise, it's now more competitive than in the past year.

Here in Central Europe, people also look at the pricing, but Central Europe falls under the UAE and Abu Dhabi in terms of headquarters, management, and strategy, but those states don't care too much about the pricing.

Pricing is a significant factor in choosing a solution. In the past, Oracle HCM Cloud was compared to the SAP solution, the largest competitor and up to thirty percent higher in price. Now, Oracle HCM Cloud has a price increase of five to ten percent, which could be pricier than SAP now, but it's a more competitive product nowadays and comparable to SAP.

Pricing is largely determined by what is agreed upon. It's difficult to say that pricing needs improvement, because it depends on what is negotiated and whether you get a good price or not.

Here’s the one thing – don’t let Oracle tell you to implement something just because they threw it into the purchase to sweeten the deal. All too often, I see customers where, during the negotiations for the licensing, Oracle will throw in such and such module – like Oracle time and labor – and the customer feels obligated to implement it, when they don’t really need it as maybe they already have a good in-house solution.

From our experience, we would recommend to go for a basic system and functionality at the initial stage. Switch to additional (non-essential) modules if, and when, the organization needs better functionality.

Implementing all modules or features in one go might increase implementation time and complicate the process.

Don't forget to include the implementation cost of an Oracle partner, and not only the subscription, in your cost benefits analysis. (Business plan, ROI, payback.)

On the other hand, the cost of maintenance, upgrade, infrastructure, and support is already included in your subscription.
