What is most valuable?

It is different for me than other users. I like the PurePaths dashlet the most. This is mostly because (and I can count a handful at times where this has not been this scenario) as soon I open the PurePaths dashlet and sort by response time, there is the problem. Every time. If the PurePaths dashlet pulls up 750,000 PurePaths, I really only needed to know about... more»

What needs improvement?

I would love to see a better data export, because AppMon's charting capabilities leaves a lot to be desired. The dashboarding capabilities leaves a lot to be desired. There are a lot of times, for example, at my last company, they wanted Dynatrace data in addition to a bunch of other stuff dumped into one place. It was not just performance metrics. The CEO... more»

What is most valuable?

Dashboards is one, troubleshooting is another. I come from the monitoring perspective, so the ability to triage quickly is important, and the ability to alert and tell people where the problem is, that's what I really like about the product.

How has it helped my organization?

Right now in an AppMon, when you have DevOps teams looking to see where transactions are going through from business transactions, and they want to set up measurements to see how things are. And dashboards - dashboards are extremely important... more»

What needs improvement?

I haven't had a chance to go through all of it, but I would like to see the ability, from an administrative standpoint, for it to collect statistics. I want to be able to see the servers that the agents are installed on. I want it to be able... more»

What is most valuable?

* End-to-end visibility of the applications, since we have them instrumented. Understanding where the hotspots are in the applications. * Quick Fault Domain Isolations: When people are having a problem, understanding where to look, and... more»

How has it helped my organization?

Mean time to resolution is probably the biggest improvement. Also, operational awareness is probably one I haven't touched on too much. I think in the past a lot of teams really didn't have a comfortable feel for how well, or not well, their... more»

What needs improvement?

Over the last year, one of the things we've had a challenge with is, we've used AppMon for so long, people are quite comfortable with it. We had a pilot of Dynatrace SaaS up and running for about a year, trying to transition application teams... more»

What is most valuable?

For me the service workflow and the dashboards are the most valuable features, simply because I can know what’s going on in my infrastructure within five minutes, versus two hours.

How has it helped my organization?

It increases productivity first of all, and it makes our troubleshooting efforts more efficient. We don’t do the war-room thing, I hate the war-room thing. A lot of the time, when there’s an issue, before they can even assemble the war room,... more»

What needs improvement?

Can it talk to me? But seriously, the additional feature I would like to see: I did like the old dashboards, the legacy 6.3 for example; the way we were able to do the dashboarding in the client. I would like to be able to see that in the new... more»

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution is the visibility. It creates visibility - from when the user starts interacting with our application - all the way back to our database calls, our network path, everything. The triaging is amazing.... more»

Once we started adopting this tool, it become an integral part of our business goals. As an industrial manufacturing company, the big investment and the interest area for us is to have our presence in the e-commerce platform, with stable and... more»

What needs improvement?

From the Dynatrace SaaS platform, they talk about the APIs. The approach they take is, "We create the APIs, you use them however you want." I like it, that gives us flexibility. But at the same time, if your company does not have a huge... more»
