What is most valuable?

The ease of use of Quickbase is second to none. Creating applications in Quickbase will take, literally, a fraction of the time it would take to create them in other… more»

How has it helped my organization?

We have a very peculiar business, where no canned database would fit our need. By building the app in Quickbase, we were able to consolidate our CRM, all the customer… more»

What needs improvement?

Reports, more specifically formatting reports. The reporting capability itself is pretty powerful in Quickbase; however, formatting those reports to present them directly… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Quickbase is probably not the cheapest app out there. That said, it is worth its weight in gold. There is no other app that I know of in the market today that can do what… more»

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

I have tried using Filemaker to create my solution, and MS Access, and a SQL database, all proved to be very cumbersome to work with, and required a deep knowledge in… more»

What other advice do I have?

Quickbase is an extremely powerful solution. The level of details that is available to you within the platform, as well as the integration, and API that is available makes… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

What is most valuable?

It has superb ease of use and no code needed to create and build apps and databases. It is highly customizable and flexible from entry level use to advanced build features.

How has it helped my organization?

This allows our company to maintain records of products created, versioning, costs and production schedules. It also allows for communication with our RLMS.

What needs improvement?

Access to more standard default layouts and sample builds would be useful, and access to more training on use and flexibility.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Make sure that you carefully plan the layout of your apps, and manage requests so the apps themselves do not become too large to manage.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

No, for the way we use this, we have not switched from this platform. It has been considered to be replaced in the future, but the costs of abandoning have been prohibitive.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

When I started with the company I work for, we were already using this platform.

What needs improvement?

QuickBase is working on adding more customizations to the user experience as they rebuild their architecture, and I am looking forward to this.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

As with all Software as a Service (SaaS), pricing is per user per month. Working with a QuickBase sales representative is a great way to discuss pricing.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

We used many different solutions before, including just using spreadsheets. Easy of use and its rapid turnaround for development is why we switched.

What other advice do I have?

I highly recommend the product highly. QuickBase is a great tool for companies looking to rapidly deploy a line of business apps without having to maintain large… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We spent a lot of time looking at Salesforce Force.com. QuickBase is both cheaper and quicker to market in building custom apps.
