Good product but it's not suitable for a virtual environment.

Exchange and File server backup are valuable features.

Versions of backup files helped us to recover files as per users requirement.

I've used it for seven years.

No, but deployment is bit complicated.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Having issues with the hardware.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Tape base backup and data is spread across the tapes.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used the Windows backup solution and we changed to Tivoli for automated backups and multiple copies of backup sets to comply with central bank policy to keep the backup data offsite and out of the country.

How was the initial setup?

Initial set up was bit complicated. Policy definition is not easy.

What about the implementation team?

We used a vendor team whose expertise was 2/10.

What was our ROI?

It's not 100%.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

No. We did not do an evaluation.

What other advice do I have?

Good product but not it's suitable for a virtual environment.

Just surprised at your comment:
Veeam is only for Virtual environnement, not physical. What did you feel wasn't suitable?

You mention Tivoli in your comment. Was the review for Tivoli and not Veeam? :)

I am also surprised by this comment. Veeam is great for virtual environements. We have many financial customers that use and love it.
