Alteryx Stability
I rate the stability a five out of ten. While the desktop features are excellent, the transition from desktop to cloud and the usability of their cloud-based automation could be improved.
The stability is good. There are a few hiccups with specific data sets and languages or formats that the data comes in. That may be a minor problem, but we can work through it. We had some issues looking at XML format in added data, but it wasn't significant.

I find that the Designer is stable since it's on my machine. Sometimes the server environment is not the most stable. I'm not sure if that's due to the fact that we don't have enough cores or whatever that might be; however, that's something that's probably a little less stable, the server at the bottom. Again, the servers will be used to run flows, not to create the flows.
The Designer is where you create the process and your logic, and you can use a Server to run the processes at different times throughout the day.
View full review »I'd rate it an eight out of ten in terms of stability. Sometimes, the app crashes when there are large files or when there is a huge amount of filtering data.

The solution is quite stable. It's not as mature as Tableau in that stability area, however, it's pretty reliable. We don't have a lot of problems with it. Initially, we created a lot of cases as we didn't understand how to best manage the product. Now, very rarely do I open a case with support and have issues.

We were using Alteryx from a development point of view. We did not use it to test it to its breakage point. So it handled our demands and was quite stable.
The response time was quite good. Even running on a laptop, it was like using it on my desktop. The response is consistent, fast and stable.
The solution has been highly stable and reliable. The cloud is very stable. There are no bugs or glitches, and it doesn't crash or freeze.
View full review »The stability is good, and, unlike Excel, it can handle large amounts of data and not freeze.
There have been actually hiccups and issues with Alteryx, however, to deal with that, what we did was we went back and saw what the issue was, and mainly the issue was due to Excel. Maybe the value, function time, or strength value was not supporting it. We had to edit many functions and strengths to rerun it through Alteryx. That's one thing that's good in Alteryx: if we run and it's not working, it gives us an output and tells us where we are going wrong so that we can go back and troubleshoot on the problematic areas.

If the speed of the database increases when we are performing the jobs on the Alteryx server it is not giving me a lot of visibility on how I can improve the performance of the jobs. Alteryx product is fine, but the server is somewhat weak. The only desirable feature we can use is scheduling.
