Bizagi Other Advice

Sebastian - PeerSpot reviewer

I rate the product seven out of ten.

The solution helps to integrate and automate multiple processes into a system, and we created a component that integrates two systems from Bizagi. It's a C# component that connects Bizagi with a different platform.

As far as connecting shareholders with processes, Bizagi is basically a database on the back end. We can also create a connector to integrate an external database or do the opposite and connect an external database to the Bizagi database and read the data from there.

With what we have been developing, the solution performed as expected; there have been no surprises or unexpected benefits.

I advise potential customers that Bizagi is the way to go for a small project, especially if it has less than 20 users, because it would be free. A cost-benefit analysis is required if you have more users than that. The data model is easily accessible, though the solution involves a degree of technical knowledge to leverage fully. Once that knowledge is up and running, you can keep growing your application as needed.

I do see potential for us to go further with Bizagi in using the studio and the automation in the paid version. Our company has expressed some interest but there are budget concerns, so not just yet.

A lot of the users here are recommending Bizagi to other people. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. It's a really good system. It's really quick for getting a process across. The various features are intuitive. It's not that hard to learn. They have good online tutorials that are also very good.

We are just focusing on modeling our processes. Initially, I was looking for a tool that allowed us to model and automate the processes. We had a conversation with the vendor, but Bizagi was not the tool for automating the processes because of some specific metrics in the company. Nowadays, we use Bizagi just for documentation. Bizagi is a very flexible and intuitive tool.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I like Bizagi a lot. I don't have experience with other automation platforms, but I find it really simple and intuitive for business automation. You have to do the process flow mapping drawing correctly, otherwise, you can't start the automation. That's really its strength. To map correctly, you need to know it will affect automation. Most people just use Bizagi for process mapping; they don't use it for automation.

My advice is to compare the cost of the on-premises and cloud options. With the cloud option, Bizagi manages a lot of infrastructure for you, so you don't have to worry about it. If you have a problem, like we're having with the performance issue, you just call them and they take care of the rest.

You should consider the possibilities Bizagi offers in regards to communication, exportation, and importation. It gives you a general idea of how you can plan your workflow and integrate with different tools. This is one of the advantages that Bizagi has.

Most of the time, the people using Bizagi are technical. They are thinking about what the data model represents and the next stage, e.g., how the model connects with the data and data model. The solution provides a fine edge between graphical strategy, representation, and the big picture; and how we can think about time, resources, and the general picture.

I would rate the solution as eight out of 10.

I would recommend Bizagi because it's an excellent tool, but I would advise optimizing your processes before automating them. In my experience, a lot of companies automate the processes but don't optimize them before automating them. The advice is to follow the life cycle and optimize before automating because making changes after the automation would require a lot of work.

The initial deployment of processes was complex because we had a lot of integrations and huge processes. With most processes, the first deployment is complex. There are unexpected incidents. Sometimes, the data is not the same as the environment. We have to do a lot of settings with the integration certificates, and it takes a lot of time to make the environment work, but after that, the deployments are short and take about 30 minutes, but the first one is about five or six hours. We also have to test that the deployment is successful. The maintenance of processes/tools is an ongoing job. We are making a lot of improvements continually. We are maintaining the tools and updating them as per the necessity of the users.

I would rate it a nine out of ten.

Besides workflow and business process management, Bizagi facilitates communication, document sharing, and data export, streamlining processes and clarifying roles. While solutions like SAP and Signavio offer advanced features, Bizagi remains accessible and efficient for most users, especially those in countries where other options may be cost-prohibitive.

Bizagi's flexibility fits various organization sizes. Students and universities use it for learning, small companies find it affordable, and larger ones value its collaboration features.

Bizagi is extremely user-friendly, even for those without technical expertise.

Overall, I would rate Bizagi as an eight out of ten. I would recommend it to others.

I was thinking to get a certification from Bizagi. I actually passed the first level, and have not yet done the ones where you purchase the professional site. I'm not using the professional version. Someone else from my company is studying the other levels on the professional version right now.

I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten, as I have yet to try Studio and the Engine.

I'm not a reseller. I'm just a consultant. I'm using some tools. I'm trying lots of tools and out of everything, Bizagi is my favorite right now. However, if there was no more free plan I might have to look for another option.

We'd be curious to learn how to become partners with Bizagi as we do have clients who want to use it as well.

Bizagi is a good, free solution for companies that do not need to make complex diagram or flows. For those looking to create more complex visualizations, such as electrical schedules, or if you want to integrate better with other standard products, I would suggest going with Visio.

My recommendation depends on the needs of the person. If it's for complicated processes, then I wouldn't recommend it because it just gets slow and is barely workable. However, if it's for beginners who are learning BPMN, it is very good. It's self-explanatory. The solution explains the shapes and how they are used. Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we are using, but I don't believe it is the most recent version. I believe it is version 2.7.02.

We have ten users on the solution that strictly use it for modeling purposes.

I'd advise other companies to understand what they want first and what the tool should do for them. That way, when they look at different options, they'll have a list of features to seek out. It will help them discover which product will work best for them. No one should rush out to buy any product.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

We're customers of Bizagi. We don't have a business relationship with them.

We are using both the free and enterprise versions of the solution.

We using the free version to work with modeling and draping our basic business processes. We're also continuing into the enterprise version, to simulate and to build documentation on HTML, SharePoint, et cetera. Then, in a few cases, we're also working with the automation. I'm not doing that myself. I'm the part that is on the front-end of the journey for the processes. So we using it for our poses landscape basically, initially.

We continue using the BPM and notation. That's what we're after.

I would recommend the solution to other organizations. However, they should decide a little bit on what their use case and needs might be before jumping into the solution to ensure it meets their needs.

Overall, I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

There are improvements to be done. The licensing structure has them missing out on quite a lot of satisfied users by forcing them to choose between a high-cost license or a free model that doesn't offer the few features they need.

I would advise others to not make the processes too large because of the performance issues. If you have small processes, it is perfect. Before you start in Bizagi, you need a good understanding of the levels of your processes because when you have already modeled and start to rearrange, it is quite a bit of an effort to change the stuff. So, take some more time initially in organizing the processes.

I would rate Bizagi a seven out of ten.

We incorporated Bizagi as requirements in the Request for Proposals but reversed and decided on Joget for simplicity and price. With the downturn in economy and high competition, businesses want quick implementation, less headache and they are tired of the phrase "not so easy to change" from techies.

Frankly, any software is of no real good value if it has to be heavily supported by programming knowledge and techies. With Bizagi and others, the insistence on knowing Java or dot.net is making the usefulness useless. I am yet to see one that has a full embedded business rule engine that is business user friendly. Its a disappointing to call these software as business process and rules components when no business user can actually get to install, customize and use it. This is the same case with software related to Customer Relation Management - such as SuiteCRM and ESPOCRM.

Our clients are Bizagi customers. We simply work with Bizagi for the robots, but it's all via our clients. We don't have a direct relationship with the company.

I'm not sure which version of the solution our client's organization is currently using.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. My main complaint is that there isn't an RPA interface. If they implemented one, I'd probably rate them higher.

I'd advise others to really try out the product before implementing it. It won't be quite the same as setting everything up and running. However, you need to understand what your pricing will be, according to usage. You also need to know what you would want to enable. If you don't, you might run into problems down the line. Users considering the solution should understand what their enterprises do. They also should be clear on what they want the solution to do and should try it out to see if it fits in with that.

If your approach is for manual task automation is a really good option. It is very intuitive and easy to use. Integration in common scenarios are done through a wizard.

The only negative assert: It is not so good with highly transactional processes that requires integration, like ESB, 500 transactions in a minute or above.

My advice to any experience of implementation of the solution is to study at first our the business and start by modeling processes and try to copy the reel work to a modeling methodology without trying to develop or automate processes, and after a successful step in modeling, it will be easy to go to data modeling and continue the others steps until implementation.
