We used it 24/7. It's fairly easy to use.

What is most valuable?

Network performance monitoring was invaluable.

What needs improvement?

We had issues pinpointing the exact location of a problem due to configuration of a particular bandwidth. This was due to the Cisco firewall configuration.

For how long have I used the solution?

I used it for four years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

No, it's also fairly easy to administrate.

Technical Support has plenty of room for improvement, knowledge of their product was not very strong.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

No previous solution was used.

How was the initial setup?

It was fairly easy, but you just need to make sure that you have a SQL server on a different box or otherwise you would run into problems later on after your database grows.

What about the implementation team?

We implemented it in-house.

What was our ROI?

We used it 24/7 and it had a great ROI.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't remember exactly, but it was a few thousand dollars for NPM with both NTA and SAM Administrator.

We didn't evaluate anything else.

What other advice do I have?

Make sure you have a strong database server separate from the NPM server.
