What do you think of Ubuntu Linux?

Valuable Features The Ubuntu LTS server is very stable. I use Ubuntu on most of my servers and I'm very pleased. • Improvements to My Organization Updates on packages are the main reason that I use the Ubuntu server. With this tool, my servers are up-to-date and secured. It is easy to use. The Ubuntu server is good for new admins. We use it for HAProxy load balancers, to database, and web servers with high availability. • Room for Improvement I think it should only be for the desktop. Maybe it is good idea to say goodbye to Unity and say hello again to Gnome. • Use of Solution I have been using Ubuntu for five or six years. How has it helped my organization?

The Oracle Linux system is configured, by default, to schedule I/O for database usage and this I/O management plays an important part in database performance.

What needs improvement?

Dynamic tracing could be improved. In Oracle Linux, you have some very powerful (for example "perf" or "systemtap"). If Oracle can deliver such tools like dtrace for linux (publicly), this would help albeit actually dtrace is delivered... more»

What do you think of RHEL?

Valuable Features Stable Linux OS. The stability of the OS is very important for the computer system.
