The total ranking of a product, represented by the bar length, is based on a weighted aggregate score.
The score is calculated as follows: The product with the highest count in each area gets the highest available score.
(20 points for Reviews; 16 points for Views, Comparisons, and Followers.)
Every other product gets assigned points based on its total in proportion to the #1 product in
that area. For example, if a product has 80% of the number of reviews compared to the product
with the most reviews then the product's score for reviews would be 20% (weighting factor) *
80% = 16. For Average Rating, the maximum score is 32 points awarded linearly based on our
rating scale of 1-10. If a product has fewer than ten reviews, the point contribution
for Average Rating is reduced (one-third reduction in points for products with 5-9 reviews;
two-thirds reduction for products with fewer than five reviews). Reviews that are more than 24 months old,
as well as those written by resellers, are completely excluded from the ranking algorithm.

I work with the end users. I manage big projects, multimillion dollar projects. I work as a business analyst, or as a functional lead, finance lead. I find that technology is great, technology is always great. Oracle improves it in terms of integration, porting, better tools, better user interface. But, if you go and talk to the lowest level of the users – the... more»
The most valuable feature is mostly the integration process that connects to a lot of our backend systems, such as manufacturing and other processes that do payroll, HR, and those things. There's a kind of integrated solution system.
It is a single-point solution, where we use one application that connects to a lot of systems, as opposed to trying to buy multiple best-of-breed systems or integrating them together; instead of having a lot of features in one system. It is... more»

The most valuable feature of this product is the HR suite; it is leading vendor for human resources in the market. So for me, the HR and payroll features are the biggest flagship of the PeopleSoft product.

Its features are good, but I think they need to look around at the other products in the market. There are a few industry standard features which are missing from this product. We have a lot of modules such as finance, receivables, and so on. The end-to-end flow is there. The features that Oracle has provided are good as an end-to-end solution. We use that and it's good, actually.

What do you think of Microsoft Dynamics AX?
Microsoft Dynamics AX is very strong in the manufacturing sector, as well as other verticals. It scales well and we've found several clients who were looking at Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards and so on who were well served at a very competitive price point (usually much less). One client was looking at a $5M SAP proposal and we got AX in just under $2M, and they were very happy with it as they have several sister companies that face $500K SAP upgrades/maintenance seemingly annually.
AX is nearly a Tier One product, so implementations are long, but there's a lot of flexibility. Also, the ability to handle different issues found in larger organizations.
There are several other MS Dynamics products for smaller companies. Our AX users were in the $200M to $400M annual revenue range....

What do you think of Oracle E-Business Suite?
Basically, the most valuable feature is the suite; basically, your integration between APAR, PO, fixed assets. We're using Financials.
• Room for Improvement
Again, integration: The reason I'm mentioning this is, basically, you can have an ERP ordering system, and it doesn't have to be Oracle. Also, it's not really an ordering system; it's not friendly, for that matter. Maybe more real-time; that would probably be better.
• Use of Solution
I have been using it for about 15 years. The company has had it maybe four years.
• Stability Issues
It's fairly stable. We haven't really had any big issues.
• Scalability Issues
We believe it is scalable. We certainly have to change our process, and maybe have to acquire more products, but we think Oracle...
