What is most valuable?

I didn't like the data analysis features at first, but they were actually quite good. The built-in machine-learning models that they have are quite extensive and useful. There are a few models that are normally not found in any other… more»

What needs improvement?

There are a few ways the solution could be made better. The graphical user interface could be made more friendly. I mean from the GUI point of view, it is a little dated. But from a functionality point of view, I think even for people who… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Our approximate cost as we understand from the company is that the total is $5,000 per user per year for the desktop production license. So, for us and the ten licenses we need, that means the production license would be around $50,000 per… more»

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Alteryx we tried of KNIME. The learning curve for KNIME is steeper than Alteryx. Alteryx is much more user-friendly than KNIME, at least from our experience on both products. Also, KNIME functionality is limited for the free version… more»

What other advice do I have?

I have a really good impression of Alteryx at this point in time. So I would suggest to people who are considering this type of solution to go ahead and try it. If you are looking for a self-service data analytics tool, Alteryx is a good… more»

What is most valuable?

I like the interface, which is probably my favorite part of the solution. It is really user-friendly. I might think that it is user-friendly because I'm in IT and it seems familiar to me. It is colorful and I think it is really beautiful and well-designed.

What needs improvement?

I think the interface is very nice, but for somebody who is not as familiar with IT as I am, it may be much more difficult for them. It is nice for me because I'm familiar with this type of software that falls in the realm of the data science platform. I can see how a client who really doesn't know… more»

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We did not use other solutions before switching so much as we are using a few different solutions together. We use Knime and Alteryx for data science and analytics. I just use Dataiku for data migration for now. I just started using Knime, but I'm most familiar with Alteryx because I have used it… more»

What other advice do I have?

Dataiku is a very broad solution that offers many possibilities. If you want to use it you must be fully committed to it. The biggest lesson I learned from using the product is that you can do many things with it. But you must commit the time to discover the tool. On a scale from one to ten where… more»

What is most valuable?

Some of the most valuable features that we are using with some business models are machine learning algorithms, statistical models given to us by the business, and getting data from the database or text files. The current features meet with the needs of our company. Our needs are not complex for the… more»

What needs improvement?

There are some scheduling issues that created some complex flows. Creating a simple scheduling mechanism would be an improvement for this tool. Technical support needs some improvement, as they do not respond as quickly as we would like. The price is too expensive so they should consider reducing… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We think that IBM SPSS is expensive for this function.

What other advice do I have?

In this field, there are some open-source products such as KNIME that may be useful for our purpose, because it lessens the costs. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

What is most valuable?

Aster AppCenter was used due to ease of formulating the solution based on SQL-like queries.

How has it helped my organization?

It allowed for the rapid development of a solution delivered to the client, showing, for the specific use-case he had, monitoring defects. It also showed which types of parts were used more often when… more»

What needs improvement?

I have found some problems with the figures depicted on graphs and figures shown, like scores which could not be negative but which were depicted as such. There are also development issues… more»
