What is most valuable?

The quick to build monitoring dashboards are the most valuable aspect of it because of the speed at which you can produce dashboards, which have a huge amount of… more »

How has it helped my organization?

It has revolutionized the way that the IT team functions within the business. We have a few custom data sources that are extracting information from systems which don't… more »

What needs improvement?

The user interface is being addressed at the moment. It is about to be refreshed within the product. Certainly, there is room for improvement in that area, and I think… more »

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

LogicMonitor is not the cheapest by any means, but it's also not the most expensive. From a licensing point of view, as far as we were aware, it's sort of middle of the… more »

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We essentially kicked out a Microsoft product (SCOM) that did the same thing on paper. LogicMonitor was far quicker to deploy and easier for the entire team and others in… more »

What other advice do I have?

Talk to someone at LogicMonitor and try it out. I would say that's an absolute must. I think anyone who signs in and uses it for a few hours will quickly realize its… more »

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

At the time, we looked at more of the high-end monitoring solutions, which included things like SolarWinds and ScienceLogic. We also looked at some smaller companies. We… more »

What is most valuable?

The dashboarding is simple to use. We have one of the full dashboards, which is shaped like a donut. We call it the donut doom. If we ever see red on the donut doom, we… more »

How has it helped my organization?

It has made us more proactive. Instead of waiting for the users to report failures to us, we can very quickly see things on a nice, easy dashboard and respond to it… more »

What needs improvement?

We would like more cloud native sensors for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. A lot of businesses are moving in that direction, so having something where we can pull… more »

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

In my company now, we are using the free version. In previous companies, we have had unlimited licenses and going beyond 10,000 sensors with 50 different branch offices.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We implemented the free solution in this company, but it is what I was familiar with. I have used the solution in previous companies before. We did have another monitoring… more »

What other advice do I have?

Take a couple of hours in an afternoon and deploy the free version. See what type of sensors are out there, then give it a go. You will find very quickly that it's quite a… more »

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the notification that we get, via email, when a device in our network goes down.

How has it helped my organization?

This has helped us to monitor the availability of our routers, switches, servers, and virtual environments. We also use it to monitor our services. When a critical service… more »

What needs improvement?

The user should be able to customize the dashboard to their own requirements. Right now, we have to design separate dashboards for visualization. For example, there is one… more »

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We have a perpetual license for this solution, and my impression is that this solution is cheap.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Prior to this solution, we were using HP NNM, the Network Node Manager. With HP the monitoring was in silos, whereas SolarWinds gives us a unified dashboard. This is the… more »

What other advice do I have?

SolarWinds is a great solution, and I think that for anybody looking for a nice infrastructure monitoring tool, this solution will do the job. I would rate this solution… more »

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

In addition to this solution, we evaluated SCOM. We found that SolarWinds is better.
